Hello my ladies, wonderfully & fearfully made!
It was truly a delight meeting for an hour on Labor day with some of our GLGs (“Gorgeous”Godly Lady Guides) & PAs (“Pretty” peer Advisors) to discuss the sewing project that is to come this season! My is everyone in for a treat!
Each little lady is amazing and everyone of you brought some brilliant ideas to the table. We truly can’t wait to extend this opportunity to more ladies in our surrounding communities that want to effect change and experience life long friendships through service & social/educational projects each season.
Listed below are a few highlights taken from our meeting minutes on Labor day. For those who were unable to attend, feel free to respond to this post with your suggestions so your valuable voice can be heard and added to the suggestions of ways we can actively engage with our community together!
The following action items were confirmed:
We discussed that our 1st sewing session will be held on September the 24th.
We confirmed a few PA’s & GLG’s will assist with greeting the community members by our booth at the Cedar Grove’s Fall Festival on September 10, 2011.
Outreach Update!
We met so many gorgeous girls this past weekend!
We passed out lollipops with scriptures of encouragement for our girls and guys in the Cedar Grove community!
And…
We had some of our PA’s hand out flyers to inform girls of the opportunity to sign-up for our very first sewing session!
A special thanks to John McCray, the Cedar Grove Community Association President for making sure we had everything we needed to get the word out to our community. This event was seamlessly executed!
I cannot begin to express the excitement of the parents who met with us at the Cedar Grove Community Fall Festival. This community is filled with so many lovely people and we can’t wait to start sewing with each of you!
Just remember to RSVP today so we can purchase your sewing materials right away and prepare for your attendance & participation on Saturday, September 24, 2011.
