For you are dearly loved!

Have you ever heard the song “Love Lifts Us Up Where We Belong…”? I’m not entirely certain if that is the title of the song but I do remember hearing and singing that song as a child, not only because it is a powerful ballad, but because it speaks truth.

We can only truly thrive where love is,
It brings out the best in us,
Pushes us to be better,
To serve, honor and support one another.

Although we should thrive, push, serve, honor and support each other no matter what, in the absence of love it is hard. I know you know this because it is human nature.

However, it is possible. All things are possible to those who believe. I’ll write more on the matter of love & reconciliation next time as addressed in the book “Disciplines of the Spirit” by Howard Thurman
until then, a very Happy Valentine’s day to all our supporters and most cherished friends, you are dearly loved! May you never forget just how precious and highly valuable you are!

On this 21st day of January I learned about the 21 day challenge hosted by YouVersion Bible App! I immediately thought “How exciting it will be to participate in this, since I need to read my bible anyway!!” This challenge and great habit building exercise is not only needed in this season of life, but this challenge is an encouragement for us to join in on some amazing fun together. Later, I am positive we will share the strong holds broken in our lives as we become better, healthier and wealthier in Christ Jesus, through His holy Word!

Notes and recording are now ready & available from last night’s conference call prayer & planning session for the New Year!

We want to make sure you stay connected throughout the year and keep engaging with one another as you encourage each other to take a stand for righteousness. We are testing a new social network platform (that seems perfect for our Summer Reading tour program) as we take a three day fast from the currently infiltrated networks. Thank you for helping us as we seek God’s direction for the New Year together! We want everyone who has a desire to join this endeavor. May you and the community at-large be encouraged to fast, pray and find your role in this amazing God story like never before. As we strive to do good works in the communities God has placed us, preparation has begun and we simply want to position ourselves for what Jesus wants to reveal in the time He has ordained.

My heart’s desire in 2013 is to see you continue to grow and help each other preserve the anointing, passion & mission God has given you and will reveal to you in time, if you don’t already know. Last night’s minutes and Invitations have been sent to those who participated by email. Let us continue to Live bodly for Jesus & be the spark to initiate change in our homes, schools and communities!

I pray this week finds you well in health, soul & spirit! I can’t say this enough, but each of you are such a blessing to my life and I thank God for knowing each of you seasonally!

CHRISTmas is upon us and I would like to extend an invite to you all to join us caroling! The Lord has opened the door for us to minister in song to the elderly at a nursing home banquet at Westbury Health and Rehabilitation Center on Saturday, December the 22nd and my do we have a lot of treats in store that day and the night before. Invitation cards will follow in the mail to those who respond with a wish to attend and those who have already asked about this year’s Winter excursion.

2) You are Invited to the Georgia District Rally and Georgia District Convention
The GA District Rally is on January 12, 2013 from 10:00am-2:00pm. It is a pep Rally for DCON. There will be a service project and it will be a lot of fun.

3) The Georgia District Convention is a service fair with representation from many different non-profit organizations in Georgia! If you are looking for more documented service hours for High School look no further! This convention will take place in March. There is a lot going on in this month so more details will follow once all is confirmed.

DECEMBER 27 & 28! COME AND SUPPORT AND BE PART OF THIS AWESOME CONFERENCE!

THIS JUST IN!!! We were recently alerted that Kroger in two different cities would like you all to sing and entertain members of the community on this upcoming Saturday from 10:00am-2:00pm. We will meet-up and rehearse in the morning at one of the Krogers before we sing. It will be televised and even though we will have the folders with lyrics we certainly want to be ready.

Be filled with good tidings & joy in all you do this season!

As we prepare for the summer there are a number of south suburban living activities on the calendar for our anointed girls and guys across the communities and churches we serve:

June 9, 2012: Tehillah Concert & Missions

June 15, 2012: Father’s Day Performance at the Westbury Health and Rehabilitation Center.

June 30th ( break on July 7th), July 14th (break on July 21) and July the 28th: “Captivating” Book Club Reading & Captivated tour series with the Esther’s Circle Care Group will meet and tour a new city every other Saturday for a month! At each of our events and summer enrichment opportunities we will track everyone’s volunteer hours so you can submit your hours for school and  become qualified  for awards and scholarships in the area of community service. Purchase a ticket to help G.O.A.L. & its community members flourish! This upcoming private, four hour sale, beginning at 6:00am was created to support local non-profit organizations like Girls & Guys Organized for Anointed Living.

Belk’s most recent Charity Sale in the spring raised more than $5 million for hundreds of participating 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations throughout the 16 states having Belk store locations. Shopping Customers receive a ticket in exchange for each $5 donation.

For each ticket GOAL receives 100% of the proceeds, while the ticket holder receives a tax deduction for their contribution and also the following:

1) Entry into the event,

2) $5 off their first purchase of $5 or more,

3)A FREE Belk gift card valued anywhere from $5-$1,000 to the first 100 customers in each store on Saturday
